About Our Program
Smokey Creek Ranch Stallion Station is a family-owned breeding facility located in the heart of the Ozark Mountains in Northwest Arkansas. Owned and operated by Kelsey Powell, the ranch provides professional equine reproductive services in a welcoming, family friendly environment.
With years of hands-on experience in stallion management, artificial insemination, embryo transfer and mare reproductive care, the program focuses on careful breeding management and attention to detail.
Over the past five breeding seasons Smokey Creek Ranch has maintained an average of 98% pregnancy success rates.
We proudly work alongside Dr. Zack Dombek of Berryville Vet Clinic, whose veterinary support and expertise help maintain the high level of reproductive success at the ranch.
Our goal is simple- to help breeders produce healthy, high-quality foals while providing excellent care for every horse entrusted to us.
Where Legends Begin.
Why Smokey Creek Ranch
Here we focus on results, attention to detail and personalized care for every mare and stallion. Our program is built around careful cycle management, proper timing, and hands-on experience. We work closely with each client to develop the best breeding plan for their mare, whether using fresh, cooled or frozen semen. Our goal is to make the breeding process smooth, successful, and stress-free for both horses and owners.
Our Philosophy
We believe successful breeding programs come from a combination of knowledge, patience and hard work. Every mare is different and each of our breeding programs is tailored to meet individual needs. At Smokey Creek Ranch, horses are treated with respect, handled with care, and open and honest communication is prioritized with each and every owner that trusts us with their horses.
